Frequently Asked Questions
How can I make hotel reservations?
WCF 2024 will take place at the Omni Hotel in Fort Worth, TX. Our room block for the event is not officially open yet. If you already registered, we will send you an email with the link needed to book your room as soon as it's available. Stay tuned!
When and where should I arrive and depart?
We suggest flying into the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport on Sunday night (11/10) or Monday morning (11/11). Sunday is best if you plan to take part in one of our optional pre-conference activities. In order to benefit from the entire event we suggest booking returning flights no earlier than 1 PM on Wednesday (11/13), if possible.
How do I make sure I get conference emails and updates?
Don't miss important conference-related emails! Ask your IT department to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe-sender list.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received via email to email@example.com by September 20, 2024, will receive a full refund, less a $150 administration fee. Cancellations received via email between September 21-October 21, 2024, will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after October 21, 2024 (though you may substitute another attendee at any time for no fee).
What’s the dress code?
The entire event is casual. Not business casual. Actual casual. Really! Everyone should wear what makes them comfortable: jeans and a cute top/sweater/sweatshirt, yoga pants and sneakers, etc. I just wouldn't come in shorts, as hotels are typically chilly. How awesome is this? It's like vacation, but at a professional event!
How can I get involved before the conference starts?
Subscribe to our newsletter to get helpful career insights and all of our latest updates. As a subscriber, you'll receive content that's customized to your interests. We'll also send you invites to the free, digital workshops that we host throughout the year.
Where can I find the agenda and schedule?
Our 2024 event is still in the works, but you can get an idea of what it will be like by looking at the 2023 agenda.
Do you share an attendee list?
We try to be exceptionally thoughtful at WCF to balance the spirit of making authentic connections (which is the primary goal of the event – because this is ultimately what leads to business) and not overwhelming attendees with solicitations. Here is our current approach; it applies to sponsors and non-sponsoring attendees alike:
Approximately 60-75 days prior to the event, we will open the conference app to those who are registered. You can't download a list, but you can see who is registered and sort by name and company. As people log in and edit their profile, they have the ability to make other info, including contact data, accessible to all attendees.
At the event, everyone will have a unique QR code on their badge. People can scan each other's badges using their mobile phones. This takes them to the app and allows them to see their new "acquaintances" contact info and also make notes specific to that person (i.e. we talked about traveling to Greece). The data for your acquaintances can be exported into a spreadsheet.
Immediately following the event, we share a full attendee list (including company, name, and job title) with all attendees. This doesn't include email, but allows people to have a way to jog their memory about people they met or shared the WCF experience with.
What is the conference COVID policy?
At this time, we do not plan to require vaccination or testing for WCF 2024. However, this may change based on current conditions and CDC guidance. Should the policy change, we will update our website and notify all current registrants at the email address they used to register. You will have the opportunity to review the policy and opt for a refund (a deadline will be provided) at that time.
