About:

Most people don't expect the founder of a premier women's leadership summit to have spent years running a business in debt collection—one of the least glamorous (but surprisingly fascinating) corners of finance. But that's exactly the winding path that led me to create Women in Consumer Finance.

After losing my father at 11 and spending decades in industries where I often felt like I didn't quite belong (from theater to manufacturing to publishing to consumer finance), I recognized that the search for belonging wasn't just my story—it was the untold story of thousands of talented women.

I built WCF specifically for women like me: the introverts, the ones who felt too small in networking rooms, the ones who had the skills but lacked the connections. It's the event I wish had existed during my 40-year career journey through seven different industries.

After selling my B2B media company in 2023 (which I grew from a marketing side project into a multi-faceted business), I now focus entirely on creating the belonging and visibility that I spent most of my career wishing I had. Turns out, when you design something for yourself, it resonates with a lot of other people too.
