Roundtable | Leading Through Loss
About:
Sandy Aquino is a seasoned consumer finance executive with over 20 years in leadership. She has directed large-scale call center and collections operations, driving culture transformations, technology integrations, and performance-based incentive strategies that consistently deliver results. She is now an independent call center and collections consultant, partnering with organizations of all sizes to optimize contact center effectiveness, streamline processes, and build resilient, high-performing teams. As the Founder of Proximity Leadership Network, Sandy has committed to preparing the next generation of strong female leaders through professional development — offering coaching, training, and community so no woman ever has to walk her leadership journey alone again.
Sandy’s leadership philosophy is deeply informed by personal loss. After losing her sister-in-law to a robbery homicide and her brother to sudden cardiac arrest, she gained a renewed perspective on the importance of empathy, presence, and genuine human connection. These experiences underscore every personal and professional interaction, inspiring her to guide others with compassion, authenticity, and a commitment to putting people first.
